Exhibiting at every
MACH since 1992, the commitment and presence of Sodick Europe, along with sole UK distributor
Sodi-Tech EDM at the event, is difficult to match. In the 34 years of exhibiting, the 2026 edition exceeded all previous shows and proved to be the most successful ever for Sodi-Tech with double-digit sales.
With six machines providing live demonstrations of pioneering technology spanning industry-leading wire EDM, die-sink EDM, and high-end machining innovations, the brightly illuminated stand immediately caught the attention of engineers visiting Hall 20. It was the innovation on show that that drew the crowds, with double-digit machine sales at the show. One leading aerospace and power generation manufacturer placed a £1 million plus order at the show.
Post-MACH, every exhibitor will undoubtedly be following up their leads – Sodick says it has received multiple orders in the immediate aftermath of the event, building upon the noble success at the show.
Sodick sales manager Richard Bailey said: “As a world-leading EDM brand renowned for delivering groundbreaking innovations,
MACH visitors were astounded by the technology enhancements presented in our live demonstrations. It was next generation technology like the ‘i Groove’ wire rotation technology, TH COM thermal displacement correction function and the two-dimensional pitch compensation software that guarantees pitch accuracy to ±1µm that caught the attention of stand visitors. As soon as our team had an opportunity to demonstrate the productivity, precision and the energy and cost saving potential of our portfolio, stand visitors soon started placing orders.
“The quantity and quality of attendees were evident by both orders and enquiries taken. Stand visitors and orders taken from key sectors such as aerospace, defence and medical all increased sharply. This highlights the critical importance that manufacturers throughout the respective supply chains need to embrace our innovation – as it will transform their manufacturing processes and subsequently impact output and cost competitiveness.”
With six machines on the stand, visitors were drawn to the Sodick ALC600P ‘i Groove + Edition’ that marks a significant leap in wire EDM technology. This award-winning machine establishes new sector standards with its patented wire rotation technology that reduces wire consumption by up to 30%.
Another stand-out performer was the VN600Q precision wire-cut EDM machine that features an automatic wire threading unit for uninterrupted machining, which makes it perfect for continuous production with unmatched flexibility.
In the aftermath of
MACH, these machines, along with the linear motor AD55L, the premium AL60G die sink EDM and the UX450L high-end machining centre, will be shipped to the technical centre, where show visitors are rapidly filling the diaries of Sodick engineers with requests for follow-up presentations and application-specific demonstrations.
