EqualEngineers and RAeS focus on inclusive partnershipEqualEngineers and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) have announced a partnership focused on strengthening inclusive and safe cultures across the engineering profession.

This collaboration reflects a shared belief that engineering and aviation thrive when everyone can contribute and work without barriers in an inclusive environment. Together, the organisations will champion inclusive practices from education and early careers through to senior leadership and professional registration.

By combining expertise, networks and an ongoing commitment to inclusivity, EqualEngineers and RAeS will work on initiatives designed to expand access to opportunities, build confidence and community for under-represented groups, and embed inclusive principles into engineering professional standards. The partnership will support knowledge-sharing and learning across the sector, demonstrating collective progress to members and partners across engineering and the aerospace sector.

EqualEngineers and RAeS will also collaborate on institution-related events this year, creating new spaces for dialogue, leadership development and exploring what safe and inclusive engineering looks like in practice.

Dr Mark McBride-Wright MBE, founder and CEO of EqualEngineers, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Royal Aeronautical Society. An industry built on safety must also be built on inclusion, when people feel valued and supported, they perform at their best. By working together, we can help create environments where engineers from every background feel able to contribute and succeed.”

Professor Malcolm Macdonald FRAeS, president of the Royal Aeronautical Society, said: “The Royal Aeronautical Society is proud to partner with EqualEngineers in support of a more inclusive and welcoming engineering profession. Aerospace and aviation depend on innovation, collaboration and diverse perspectives to solve some of society’s most complex challenges. By working in collaboration, we foster cultures where people from all backgrounds feel safe, respected and empowered to reach their full potential throughout their careers.”

To celebrate the launch of this partnership, EqualEngineers and RAeS will jointly host a webinar on Wednesday September 2, 2026.

The partnership builds on growing collaboration between EqualEngineers and professional institutions committed to shaping a more inclusive future for the engineering profession across the sector.
