Ulrich acquires LCR to accelerate UK growth Ulrich, a leading manufacturer of front loaders and attachments for the construction, waste and recycling, agricultural and industrial sectors, has announced the acquisition of Hull-based LCR, a highly-respected EN 1090 EXC3-certified welding and fabrication specialist.

The acquisition marks a major milestone in Ulrich’s UK expansion and global growth strategy, significantly increasing manufacturing capacity while strengthening the company’s ability to serve growing demand across domestic and international markets.

As part of the acquisition, LCR will be fully absorbed into the Ulrich business, creating a stronger, more integrated manufacturing operation under the Ulrich brand. The move will combine the expertise, capabilities and resources of both companies to drive efficiency, innovation and long-term growth.

By bringing LCR into the Ulrich group, the business adds a second fabrication facility to its portfolio and expands its capabilities in delivering complex, high-specification, safety-critical steelwork. The acquisition opens further opportunities across key industries including offshore, rail, renewable energy, defence, construction and subsea engineering.

Operating from a more than 80,000ft² production facility in Hull, LCR brings decades of large-scale fabrication expertise and a highly skilled workforce. All existing roles have been retained, reflecting Ulrich’s long-term commitment to investing in people, supporting regional industry, and strengthening UK manufacturing.

The Hull facility will now become Ulrich’s dedicated centre for innovation and product development, driving the next generation of advanced products and engineering solutions. Plans are already underway to expand operations and recruit additional personnel as production ramps up.

This strategic acquisition reinforces Ulrich’s position as a growing force in UK manufacturing and underlines the company’s ambition to accelerate growth across several key markets.

Ulrich Attachments' sales director Josh Copeland said: "These are very exciting times for the company. Merging the design and engineering elements of the business will put us in a very strong position to meet future opportunities."
