Royal London Asset Management Property has named
Caddick Construction as principal contractor to deliver a new industrial development at Satellite Park in Middleton, Greater Manchester.
Caddick Construction has been awarded a £25 million contract to build two new high-quality industrial units alongside extensive external works, supporting Royal London Asset Management’s investment in strengthening the industrial and logistics offering in the region.
Located on Greengate in Middleton, the new 14-acre development will provide modern warehouse and manufacturing space targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating – the UK's leading sustainability assessment standard for buildings. The development is designed to meet the needs of businesses looking for industrial accommodation in a well-established commercial area.
Due to complete in summer 2027, the project will also see Caddick deliver surrounding external works, including the installation of over 300 car parking spaces, with a number fitted with electrical car charging points, to accompany the two new structures.
The appointment adds to Caddick’s growing portfolio of industrial and logistics projects in the North West, which includes the delivery of Tawd Valley Developments’ £14 million Junction 4 development, with 45 new business units being constructed at White Moss Business Park.
Caddick Construction is also set to build four industrial units totaling 96,000ft² at Farington Park in Leyland on behalf of sister company Caddick Developments.
Dave Saville, regional managing director of Caddick Construction North West commented: “We’re pleased to be appointed to deliver this important project in Middleton. Industrial and logistics remains one of the UK's most active sectors, and this project will create high-quality units and contemporary workspaces for growing businesses. Our team has significant experience delivering industrial developments across the region and we look forward to working collaboratively with Royal London Asset Management and the wider project team to bring these new facilities forward.”
Quintus Carr, development manager at Royal London Asset Management added: “The scheme reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainability-focused industrial and logistics space in strong regional locations.
“We are pleased to be working with Caddick Construction, and we look forward to working closely with them and the wider project team to bring forward a scheme that supports local economic growth and meets the needs of modern occupiers.”
