KMF (Precision Sheet Metal) Ltd, Newcastle under Lyme
(www.kmf.co.uk), has strengthened the business development team at its Slovakian manufacturing facility (opened in 2011 to support a growing list of customers in the heart of Europe); Pavel Vajda’s experience covers sales, customer service, warehousing and logistics, and key account management.
Managing director Gareth Higgins says: “We have been very encouraged by the business that is being won by our Slovakian facility, particularly from new customers in eastern and central Europe. The time is now right to push on with this growth, and Pavel will provide the local knowledge that we need.”
Important to KMF is the consistency of management and manufacturing procedures between its headquarters and main manufacturing facility and the factory in Trenčianske Stankovce. To achieve this employees from Slovakia undergo advanced training at KMF's Newcastle under Lyme factory, where they can develop the skills and knowledge that are not available in Slovakia.
"This consistency between manufacturing sites is important to us as we produce components for customers here in the UK, who also have demand across Europe. Maintaining the quality of parts produced that stand up to strict comparison and manufactured using the same processes and techniques is a vital advantage that we want to maintain," added Mr Higgins.
