Michigan-based Burtek Enterprises has acquired Votaw Precision Technologies Inc of California. Burtek CEO Jeff Daniels said that the deal “creates a broader and deeper platform to better serve customers across the defence, space-flight and aerospace industries.
With our combined capabilities of design and engineering tools using multiple CAD systems and model-based definition — as well as machining, fabrication, assembly and programme management — we have significantly strengthened our turn-key service.”
Scott Wallace, president of Votaw Precision Technologies, said: “We have extended our capabilities and capacity for growth. Our geographic ‘footprint’ now covers a wider area, our machining and fabrication capabilities are second to none, and we have targeted a flexible-capacity strategy to enable us to serve and support our most valued customers.”
Burtek and Votaw will continue to operate independently, with the current management teams remaining in place.
