Yazaki Europe Ltd, a Japanese-owned manufacturer and supplier of automotive products to Jaguar Land Rover has signed a deal for an extended office facility in Coventry. Yazaki Worldwide has its world headquarters in Susono, Japan, 160 affiliate companies across 43 countries and a workforce in excess of 250,000.
Yazaki Europe has facilities in Derby, Newcastle, Hemel Hempstead and 14 countries across the continent. It is a supplier of a broad range of products that support automotive electronics, with a focus on wire, wiring harnesses, instrumentation and electronics sub-assemblies.
Yazaki general manager Paul Spencer said: “The extension to our office has been essential, as our business has expanded rapidly following increased demand from our key customers; these include Jaguar Land Rover, Honda, Aston Martin Lagonda and McLaren. To service our clients and contracts, we have taken on a number of new staff.”
Construction work has started on site, and the new facility will be home to about 120 staff.
