Brown & Holmes (Tamworth) Ltd (
www.brownandholmes.co.uk) is celebrating 75 years as a designer and manufacturer of work-holding solutions. During that time, it has survived a world war, two recessions and a management buy-out.
The company was set up in 1939 by Coventry draughtsmen Bill Brown and Leslie Holmes to design jigs, tools and gauges. Today, as well as designing jigs and fixtures, it offers high-precision machining and complex assembly work for the automotive, aerospace, oil and power generation industries.
It also supplies a wide range of gauges, and it is the sole UK and Ireland agent for Forkardt rotary work-holding products, Tsudakoma indexing tables, Fresmak Arnold high-pressure vices and TFA Alfa universal segment clamping systems.
Kevin Ward, joint managing director, says: “We remain focused on offering our customers the right work-holding solution for their needs, whether they require an off-the shelf product or a bespoke solution.”
