US firm acquires Stahlhammer Bommern

Columbus McKinnon Corporation, a US designer and manufacturer of material-handling products, has acquired the privately owned German company Stahlhammer Bommern GmbH, which makes lifting tools and forged parts that can withstand heavy static and dynamic loads.
Founded in 1911, SB manufactures its products at an 82,000 sq ft facility in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is expected to have 2014 revenues of about $17.8 million.
