IPP Group acquires SMS

Staffordshire-based piping manufacturer IPP Group (www.ippgrp.com) is to acquire Specialised Machine Services Ltd, a precision manufacturer of products primarily for the sub-sea sector (the Deeside company has been re-branded as IPP Specialised Machine Services).

IPP group chief executive Jared Ayres said: “We are delighted to secure the jobs of the SMS workforce and to provide a secure platform for continued growth. This business will fit with our existing needs and enable the IPP Group to expand its manufacturing portfolio.”
