Sweden-based SKF (
www.skf.com) will highlight the key role its bearing solutions can play in helping the machine tool industry to shorten customers’ development cycle times and meet increasing demands for efficiency, productivity and sustainability (Hall 8, Stand A22).
The company will showcase its SKF Silent Series bearings, which run quietly and generate minimal heat, owing to the optimised design of their cages.
Optimised tolerances and new marking specifications allow the bearings to be matched easily and mounted more efficiently, while highly effective integral seals prevent the ingress of contaminants reducing machine down-time.
Offering more precise machining, in less time and with lower operating costs, SKF will also showcase the power of its new generation of double-direction angular-contact thrust ball bearings for screw drives.
When higher load-carrying capacity and rigidity plus longer life are required, the double-direction bearings in the BEAS and BEAM series can now be supplied as matched sets. SKF director (machine tool industry).
