Huvema UK Ltd (
www.huvema.co.uk), the Lichfield-based supplier of industrial and tool-room machinery, has delivered 14 manual lathes to the Jubail Technical Institute (JTI) in Saudi Arabia.
JTI is one of the country’s leading organisations in the field of technical training. Its main objective is to produce graduates with the vocational skills required by local factories and companies.
As part of an expansion programme, JTI ordered 14 HU410 VAC 1000 lathes from Huvema’s UK export operation — after a management visit to see a similar installation supplied by the company to the AMRC in Sheffield.
General manager Jon Turley said: “The JTI executives were very impressed with the AMRC equipment and were happy to place this significant order with us.”
The HU410 range is characterised by its versatility, high accuracy and extremely rigid construction. Features such as variable speed and a Newall digital read-out are included as standard.
The lathes are also fitted with a multi-fix quick-change tool-post, an internal chuck and saddle guards.
