New headquarters for Sollatek

New headquarters for SollatekSollatek (www.sollatek.com), a Berkshire-based energy technology company, has bought new headquarters with support from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and intends to take on 10 more employees.

The company designs and manufactures products for the power-control, energy-saving, temperature-control and solar-energy sectors; these are developed by a 25-strong in-house R&D team.

Founded in 1983 by Janan Allos with his sons Manhal and Maan, Sollatek now has a turnover of £9 million and exports to more than 190 countries.

Sollatek was based in Slough, but its original site was scheduled for redevelopment, so it relocated to Langley. Managing director Manhal Allos said: “Although we had not planned to move and our hand was forced, the situation has worked out in our favour.

"We are buying the new HQ, which is much more modern and energy-efficient than our old rented home. We are in a great location, with a train station nearby, and close to Heathrow, which is convenient for our international customers.

“Our products are used by factories to ensure a stable and continuous source of power, as well as by consumers to protect electrical equipment like fridges and lap-tops against potentially damaging power surges.

"We also design and manufacture solar-energy products, including bespoke solar-power systems, plus a range of energy-saving and voltage protection technology for sensitive telecommunications equipment.”
