Dantec Hose acquired by German firmA manufacturer of composite hoses used to re-fuel F1 racing cars has been acquired by a German industrial firm.

Dantec Hose (www.dantec.com), based at Moreton on the Wirral, was bought from Maven Capital Partners by Elaflex-Gummi Ehlers (www.elaflex.de), which has more than 450 staff and is a leading player in the re-fuelling equipment sector.

Founded in 1969, Dantec sells its products to over 50 countries world-wide.

Ryan Bevington, investment director at Maven’s Manchester office, said: “We have enjoyed working with the Dantec management team, who have worked hard to grow the business in the period since our investment in 2011.

"Elaflex is both a supplier and a customer of Dantec, so a strong working relationship has been built between the two businesses. Importantly, Elaflex holds similar long-term ambitions to the Dantec management team; that was instrumental in delivering the deal.”

John Laidlaw, managing director of Dantec, said: “Maven has been entirely supportive of Dantec and the management team during our time together. We found them to be supportive of our goals, aims and aspirations, and Ryan and the team were sympathetic to our desire to find a buyer who could match our ambitions while safeguarding the existing company structure.”
