Following a re-organisation of the machine tool company Goratu Maquinas Herramienta, Mark Randall — previously managing director of Goratu UK Ltd — has formed a new company that will be responsible for sales of the Spanish manufacturer’s machine tool brands in the UK.
Lutterworth-based Radius Machine Tool Solutions (
www.rmts.uk) will handle all future UK sales of Lagun bed mills, Geminis lathes and Lagun VMCs and manual mills.
Mr Randall, who has been selling Goratu products for some 15 years and has over 150 installations in the UK, believes the new arrangement — acting primarily as a distributor rather than a subsidiary — will not only allow customers to benefit from his factory and product knowledge but also enable him to offer additional and complementary product ranges in the future.
Mr Randall said: “As a completely independent UK company, we will be able to introduce new machines and equipment from other manufacturers, buy and sell used machines and introduce a machine-rebuilding division.
"Radius has the full backing of Geminis and Lagun, plus an excellent relationship with both the directors and staff of the factories in Spain. UK customers can be assured of continued first-class service.”
