Portable weld purge monitor launched

The hand-held battery-powered PurgEye 200 weld purge monitor from Burry Port-based Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Ltd (
www.huntingdonfusion.com) has been developed to meet the needs of higher welding specifications that require oxygen levels down to 10ppm.
It is totally waterproof and dustproof (rated to IP65) and has warning icons on the screen to show low-battery and low-sensor conditions.
PurgEye 200 is aimed at welding shops looking to obtain non-oxidised zero-colour welds by monitoring the oxygen level when joining metals such as titanium, zirconium, nickel alloys and high-purity stainless steels.
