norelem has expanded its product portfolio with a new range of compact fitted sockets for USB and RJ45 connections, providing machine builders and equipment manufacturers with a straightforward way to integrate data interfaces into enclosures, control panels, switchboxes and other installations.
Designed to bring connectivity to the point of use, the new fitted sockets enable USB and network interfaces to be mounted directly into housings and control areas, ensuring convenient access for operators, maintenance personnel and service engineers. The range is suitable for applications across mechanical and plant engineering, automation systems, switchgear manufacture, and bespoke equipment and enclosure designs.
To accommodate a variety of requirements, the USB range is available with both USB-A and USB-C connections. Versions supporting USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 are offered, allowing users to select the most appropriate solution for existing installations or applications requiring higher-speed data transmission.
The portfolio is further enhanced by RJ45 fitted sockets for Ethernet connectivity. These provide a practical means of integrating network access points into machine housings, control cabinets and operator stations, helping to simplify communication and data exchange within industrial environments.
A key feature of the new sockets is their compact, low-profile design. With an installation diameter of 22.3mm, they can be integrated easily into a wide range of equipment while minimising space requirements. Their ergonomic construction also supports straightforward installation and operation.
Depending on application needs, the sockets can be supplied either without connection cables, allowing flexible wiring by the user, or pre-assembled with cables for faster installation and interface feed-through. Matching protective caps are also available to safeguard ports against contamination and damage when not in use.
Suitable for demanding industrial environments, the new fitted sockets provide a practical and versatile solution for integrating USB and Ethernet connectivity into modern machinery and automation systems.
