Fife-based KSW Engineering Ltd has been named as one of the UK’s most inspiring companies by the London Stock Exchange Group. The list of
1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain is an annual celebration of “some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic” UK-based SMEs; it details companies that are growing at an average of 50% a year.
KSW Engineering is one of 56 Scottish companies that feature in the 2016 edition. Founded in 1980, KSW Engineering specialises in medium-to-heavy precision machining and welding. It operates from 60,000ft2 premises in Glenrothes and employs more than 50 people. The company is now part of Denholm Oilfield Services, and its activities are split between the domestic and overseas markets; it exports to key locations such as Malaysia, Norway, Romania and Singapore.
Managing director Stewart Wilson (pictured) said: “During our 36-year history, we have been very fortunate to experience sustained organic growth based on word-of-mouth referral. This has been achieved by ensuring that our work is of the highest quality and that it is delivered by a skilled and motivated workforce.”
