A Derbyshire specialist engineering company has been the subject of a management buy-out led by the one-time chief executive of its former parent group.
Castle Donington-based Peter J Douglas Engineering (
www.pjdltd.com/) installs and maintains boilers and associated plant machinery for the power-station market; it was formerly part of Power Industrial Group Ltd (PIGL), a specialist engineering business backed by private-equity firm LDC.
David Hayle, who was chief executive of PIGL until December 2015, led the buy-out along with other senior members of
the management team. The move has safeguarded the future of its 60 staff.
