A-SAFE, a global leader in workplace efficiency and safety solutions, hosted the final event of the
UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Roadshow earlier this month at its Fathom3 R&D facility in Elland, bringing together industry leaders from around the UK. The event included a series of presentations, panel discussions and site visits for the approximately 40 visitors.

The
UKWA Roadshow is an initiative that celebrates the association’s 80th anniversary. With 2024 being marked by UKWA as ‘The Year of Warehousing’, its chief executive Clare Bottle embarked on a nationwide tour from the start of this year exploring 80 warehouses across the UK and Ireland. This initiative has highlighted the cutting-edge technology and dynamic operations of the sector, while promoting its continuous commitment to innovation.

During the event, Lisa Ramos, A-SAFE’s health and safety accident impact speaker, presented
The Hidden Cost of Industrial Workplace Accidents, an insight into the importance of warehouses being equipped with solutions certified to the PAS 13:2017 standard — the first certification for industrial safety barriers — which A-SAFE steered and contributed to its creation.
