Aleron Subsea wins ROV contract

Aberdeen-based Aleron Subsea (www.aleronsubsea.com) has won a six-figure order from a new client in South East Asia — G8 Subsea — for its XL150 ROV, which has been given an upgrade to boost its survey capability. Business-development manager Gary McConnell said: “The sale of the upgraded XL150 is another example of the progression Aleron is making as a global equipment provider. The XL150 is a cost-efficient ROV, able to compete in high-specification contracts. Aleron is here to provide on-going support for the lifespan of the system”.

He added: “G8 Subsea is a Singapore-based sub-sea engineering company providing specialised services to subsea cable installers and leading marine-construction companies with proven and cost-effective solutions. The company provides industry-proven solutions to pipeline- and cable-installation services for companies in the region.”
