www.comau.com), a global leader in machining and automation, officially opened its new engineering facility in Gateshead during a two-day Open House on 14-15 June.
This event included technology seminars by top systems integrators, technology companies and industry experts. Through its headquarters in Rugby, Comau UK has served customers throughout the UK since 1991; with this new facility, the company can also focus on the North East region.
Comau specialises in working with customers to build up small systems that can be transformed into fully automated solutions. Using simultaneous engineering studies and the latest ‘virtual commissioning’ technologies, the company can help to ensure that plant disruption is kept to a minimum during such projects.
