Bradford-based Debar Bi-fold Hardware (
www.bifold-hardware.com), a manufacturer of bi-fold door systems, has relocated to a new headquarters in Great Horton as part of a £500,000 investment to bring manufacturing in-house.
The company has doubled its workforce since 2016 to more than 50, with the new base creating another 11 jobs. It can now design and manufacture its own door hardware components, rather than importing them from overseas.
Debar previously had five smaller units in Bradford, but the firm’s new facility has allowed it to bring all its operations under one roof. As well as office and warehouse space, the 42,000ft
2 building has meeting rooms, a training facility and a dedicated showroom for its products.
Graham Fawthrop, managing director, said the new site put the firm “at the forefront of product development.
The move to our new premises has provided a great opportunity to celebrate everyone’s involvement and to show our customers how our investment has paid off.”
The new centre was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Abid Hussain.
