Glasgow-based Dust Control Solutions Ltd (DCS) — a manufacturer and installer of dust, fume, odour and pollution control systems for industry — has been acquired by Telford-based Filtermist International (this is the latter’s fifth purchase in two years) (
www.filtermist.co.uk).
DCS employees will be retained by Filtermist to strengthen the group’s service offering for customers in Scotland, and an additional Glasgow-based salesperson will be recruited.
Filtermist Group CEO James Stansfield said: “This deal will be beneficial for customers of all companies; having a local presence will help us to grow our existing brands in Scotland, while DCS customers will benefit from our extensive resources and our wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of industrial air extraction and filtration.”
Founded in 2002, DCS ((
www.dustcontrolsolutions.co.uk)) has established supply partnerships with a number of European manufacturers including Aagaard in Denmark and the Belgian firm Formula Air, which specialises in high-quality galvanised and welded mild-steel piping.
The company works with customers in a range of industries, including woodworking, distilling, and oil and gas, and it has delivered a number of projects for local authorities.
Its client base was a significant factor in the recent acquisition.
