Plans submitted for TeesAMP parkPlans to develop the 11-hectare TeesAMP advanced manufacturing park, which could create up to 1,000 jobs, have been submitted to Middlesbrough Council.

The first phase of development includes 180,000ft2 of high-quality manufacturing and office accommodation in 17 buildings.

Geoff Hogg, managing director of site owners Cleveland Property Developments, said: “This is an exciting step in the formation of TeesAMP.

Once planning permission is secured, we will begin the initial construction phase, which is due to be completed in spring 2019.

"We are already in discussion with a number of companies about accommodation — and there will be several exciting announcements to come in the following weeks.”

The site is already home to TWI’s £10.8 million base, which is now home to the UK’s first Offshore Wind Validation Centre.
