Dudley-based Truckman (
www.truckman.co.uk), a leading manufacturer and supplier of 4x4 hardtops and accessories, has appointed a new business development manager.
Experienced automotive professional Phil Smith will be responsible for the company’s relationships with major fleet and OEM customers, while working closely with the internal sales team to support the company’s relationship with main dealers and general trade clients.
Before joining Truckman, Mr Smith was responsible for managing sales in the suspension market as sales development manager for Pedders Suspension.
Throughout his career, he has gained a wealth of knowledge in sales, business development and customer relations in the automotive sector.
Truckman’s manufacturing facility designs and manufactures hardtops (as well as tonneau covers and storage solutions) for commercial markets in the UK and across Europe.
The hardtops are a popular choice for fleet operators in a variety of industries, ranging from agriculture to construction.
