Teesside-based Prosafe Engineering (
www.prosafe-eng.co.uk), the exclusive UK distributor for process safety product manufacturer Solis, has set its sights on a £1.6 million turnover after Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald officially opened its new premises on the Riverside Park Industrial Estate.
The company was founded by Greg Hynes and Mike Styan with an initial £2,000 investment. The business currently employs 11 people; it is planning to create four more jobs by mid-2019 and to establish a satellite office in Aberdeen.
Mr Hynes said: “It’s been an exciting journey so far. When we first started out, we didn’t get paid for about four months, but from the beginning of 2017 until this moment in time, it has just been relentless. All of our hard work started to come to fruition, and we had to move into larger premises.”
