Radan (
www.radan.com) has developed a partnership with IPG IRE-Polus — the Russian division of IPG Photonics, which manufactures fibre lasers and ‘technological equipment’.
The partnership will see the Russian manufacturer’s new LaserCube flat-bed laser sold with the Rad-profile module for programming it, along with a special post-processor and a set of macros.
IPG’s (
www.ipgphotonics.com) LaserCube flat-bed cutter is optimised for the precision cutting of small parts.
It features high-force linear motors and a granite bed to ensure that it has both the stability and the acceleration necessary for high-speed precision machining.
At the end of October, IPG IRE-Polus’s headquarters in Moscow hosted a special Radan training seminar, conducted by an engineer from Dreambird — Radan’s official Russian and CIS distributor.
Those attending learned about the module’s functionality and interface, set-up specifics and parameter input; they also gained practical experience of developing NC programs for LaserCube machine tools.
Dreambird’s marketing specialist, Ada Lakevich, said: “By offering Russian manufacturers a flat-bed laser cutting system with integrated Radprofile CAD/CAM, IPG IRE-Polus provides a full ‘one-stop shop’ solution to their machining needs.”
