Germany-based Otto Fuchs KG — a manufacturer of high-quality forged components, extruded products and rolled rings for the aerospace, automotive, construction and industrial technology sectors world-wide — has ordered a 30,000-tonne close-die forging press from Schuler (
www.schulergroup.com).
Fuchs works with a variety of metals — including aluminium, magnesium, titanium and nickel alloys — to produce custom-made products that include aircraft landing gear, engine discs and structural parts.
The Schuler MH-30000 hydraulic press is scheduled to be up and running in January 2021.
