Dome Auctions, a new pan-European auction house for industrial machinery, is holding two exclusive sales of young and modern fleets of machinery this month, that of aluminium and plastic profiles processing company Progin SA and the high-end machine tool factory Big Kaiser. In total, around 40 premium CNC metal, plastic and aluminium processing machines will come under the hammer.
Dome Auctions is organising a physical ticket sale (private sale) of
Big Kaiser’s modern CNC machine park in Rümlang, Switzerland on 15 May. Big Kaiser, known for its high-quality manufacturing of tools for the machining industry, recently ended its manufacturing operations in Switzerland following a global restructuring.
The sale includes 29 high-quality CNC machines, all premium brands and modern machines. A highlight of this auction is a 2023 Studer S33 universal cylindrical grinder, equipped with an MK4 grinding head with two motor spindles, which allows complex workpieces to be ground in a single fixture. The machine has less than 2,700 production hours and is in as new condition.

Also expected to generate a lot of interest is a 2022 Index G220 turning-milling combination (pictured right), including PROFimat bar feeder and an automated take-out unit, designed for manless production of complex turning/milling parts. In addition, a young 2019 DMG Mori CLX 350 CNC turning machine will be offered, complete with Breuning bar feeder, 43 Hainbuch collets and 70 driven tools for under-turret (VDI 30).
Other machines to be sold include: a DMG Mori NTX 1000 (year of construction 2017), an advanced multi-tasking centre; Mikron VCE 1200 P three-axis CNC milling machine, equipped with Renishaw measuring probes and StepTec spindle; various Studer grinding machines, a Kellenberger Varia RS175/1000 (built 2001) and a Rosa Ermando SL 11.7 surface grinder (2012). The physical ticket sale will take place on 15 May at Big Kaiser's factory hall in Rümlang, Switzerland and ‘sold is sold’. The sale starts at 10am and runs until 3pm. Progin SA auction of quality machinesMeanwhile, the Progin SA auction contains quality machines from
Progin SA, including a Bystronic automatic laser cutting machine and a variety of elumatec and Emmegi profile processing machines. Progin AG, based in Bulle, Switzerland, was a family-owned company specialising in the production of profiles and sheet metal parts for the building and facade industry.
Despite significant investments until just before the bankruptcy, the difficult economic conditions led to the company closure. This now presents opportunities for companies looking to expand their machinery fleet with young and high-quality sheet metal working equipment. Progin’s online auction runs until 5 June. A viewing day for interested parites has been arranged for 28 May and can be viewed
here.

One of the highlights in the auction is a 2018 Bystronic laser cutting machine BySprint Fiber 4020. This laser cutting machine has a capacity of 4 x 2m and features a 4kW fibre laser unit (comparable to 6kW in CO
2) and is equipped with an automated loading and unloading system, ideal for unmanned production.
Furthermore, the auction includes six modern elumatec and Emmegi CNC profile processing machines and more than 1,000 metal sheets in a variety of sizes and qualities - an interesting addition for companies operating in the sheet metal processing industry. Pictured left is an elumatec SBZ 151 Edition 90 Profile machining centre.
