
Macclesfield-based Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of heat treatment and specialist thermal processing services, has revealed plans to open a new heat treating facility in the USA.
Situated in Illinois, it will include advanced heat treatment technologies such as low-pressure carburising and carbonitriding, vacuum nitriding and ferritic nitrocarburising, Bodycote’s proprietary Corr-I-Dur process, and traditional carburising of large parts.
It is scheduled to be operational by late 2019 and will support the automotive, agricultural, mining, construction and various other manufacturing supply chains in the Upper Midwest region.
