Soraluce will be unveiling a new range of portal milling machines — and its new factory for building them — at its
Soraluce Summit 2019 Open House (20-22 March in Bergara, Spain).
According to Soraluce’s exclusive UK and Ireland agent (Sheffield-based TW Ward CNC Machinery Ltd —
www.wardcnc.com), the new machines include models with moving tables and with fixed/moving beams, as well as gantry milling and multi-tasking machines — all available with a full range of machining heads and additional options.
Stuart Lawson, Ward CNC’s head of strategic accounts and projects, said: “The new machines are part of the brand’s strategic commitment, which has made Soraluce a supplier of integral machining solutions.
"The company focuses on developing technological solutions that allow customers to raise their efficiency and productivity to new levels.
This includes ‘all in one’ multi-tasking machining, where milling, turning and grinding come together in a single machine and in the same set-up.”
The Summit will allow visitors to view the Spanish machine builder’s new Portal Factory, which is operating at full capacity; they will also see — in a live production environment — some of Soraluce’s ‘smart technology’ advances such as DAS (Dynamic Active Stabiliser) and DWS (Dynamic Workpiece Stabiliser).
These allow stock removal rates to be increased and productivity to be boosted by up to 300%.
There will also be demonstrations of the new Smart HMI interface and VSET for improvements in workpiece alignment cycle times.
