www.taegutec.com) has introduced the AXCT 06-L range of inserts and related holders specifically for these applications.
The new positive-ground AXCT 06-L insert range has been designed with a high positive rake angle that is optimally designed to reduce cutting resistance — essential for miniature machining.
A further advantage of these inserts is their compatibility with the current ChaseMill cutters. All tool-holders are available in various standard sizes from 8mm up to 30mm.
The new AXCT 06-L insert range features insert geometries specifically designed for Swiss-type turning machines, with standard tool-holders available in various shank holder sizes — including ER11 and ER16 collets.
Moreover, these inserts are available with several corner radii from 0.02 to 0.4mm — and these indexable-insert tools can replace traditional solid end mills to reduce set-up times and change-over times.
The inserts are available in TaeguTec’s coated TT5525 grade, while the end mill tool-holders are offered with diameter options of 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 20 and 30mm. Depending on the tool diameter selected, the ChaseMill is available with one, two, three or five insert seats.
