Burnley-based BCW Manufacturing Group, a precision engineering specialist, is looking to expand its factory after securing a £5 million finance facility from Secure Trust Bank plc.
Since it was founded in 2002, BCW has designed bespoke automated lines, tooling, work-holding and mistake prevention systems for its expanding customer base, which includes Aston Martin, Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover.
The company has a turnover of £26 million; the new funding will be used to add 80,000ft
2 to its existing site in the form of a ‘state of the art’ automotive machining facility and additional warehouse space.
With the extra capacity to take on new business, the company is planning to create up to 50 new jobs over the next three years.
Claire Whelan, joint managing director (
www.bcw-manufacturing-group.co.uk), said: “We are delighted to be unveiling plans for expansion, as a result of recently securing large contracts from automotive manufacturers — against stiff global competition.
“This expansion will be a major boost for BCW, for Burnley and the wider Lancashire economy, creating new high-tech jobs in the process.”
