Yamazaki Mazak has released the dates of its specialist ‘Manufacturing Solutions NOW’ Open House.
Being held 11-13 June at its European Technology Centre in Worcester, this will include 22 machines and focus on entry-level machines, Siemens control and laser cutting — plus there will be talks by representatives from McLaren Applied Technologies and about the Concorde supersonic aircraft.
One of the highlights will be a Quick Turn 250MSY equipped with a milling capability, a Y axis and a second spindle. A second machine has been equipped with a Fanuc TA-20 ‘plug and play’ robotic machine-tending solution for unmanned and overnight running, while making its UK debut will be the HQR-250MSY.
This is a twin-turret twin-spindle CNC turning centre that incor-porate a variety of optional automation equipment to further improve productivity.
Laser machines will be represented by the Optiplex 3015 Fiber III 4kW. Designed for high productivity with fast acceleration and high-speed cutting, this machine features the new-generation Mazatrol PreviewG CNC with 19in touch panel.
That said, machine users that have standardised on Siemens control can still access the benefits of Mazak technology by specifying an ever-increasing number of Siemens-equipped machines — such as a VTC-760C with the new Siemens 828D control and a 12,000rev/min spindle.
The Open House will also provide an opportunity to undertake guided tours of Mazak’s European Manufacturing
Plant, which has benefitted from a number of investments since Mazak’s last Open House.
