Italian-designed fibre lasers in UKShropshire-based World Machinery (www.worldmc.co.uk) has been appointed to distribute fibre lasers from Penta Laser in the UK.

This reflects Penta’s growing share of the global market.

World Machinery has showrooms located between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster and has been active in the sheet metal processing business for over 40 years.

World Machinery’s managing director, Wayne Hipkiss, said: “We pride ourselves on providing the best technology, service and support to our customers.

“When we examined the Penta range of laser processing machines, it was clear that this partnership would be beneficial to all concerned. Penta has managed to create a range of laser processing machines that consume less power and gas than others in the market yet produce an excellent finish.”

Wicky Zou, sales manager for Penta, said: “World Machinery is a partner that fits our criteria well, and we believe this partnership will have a huge impact, redefining the UK sheet metal processing market.”

Penta has a 15% share of its home market, with over 2,000 laser processing systems installed.

“It has developed the core laser processing system in-house, and its machines provide high levels of accuracy in a wide range of materials, eliminating the need for any post-processing.

“As well as fast cycle times, the machines offer fast start-up and changeover times.”
