Axiom takes delivery of two five-axis machinesWest Sussex-based Axiom Product Development — a machining, tooling and plastic injection moulding company — has taken delivery of two new DMG DMU five-axis machines to increase capacity and meet demand for its products.

The DMU 50 machines (www.uk.dmgmori.com) with swivelling rotary tables allow for full five-axis simultaneous machining, enabling the company to produce complex jigs, fixtures and manufacturing aids for customers in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, defence, aerospace, Formula One, marine and general manufacturing.

The company (www.axiompd.co.uk) purchased them in response to the high demand from its existing customers and the increasing amount of new business that is being generated.

The team at Axiom has decades of design and engineering experience, plus a proven history of helping customers to develop and manufacture products.

The company operates in markets that require a fast turnround, and the new DMG machines offer the latest technology to ensure components of the highest quality.

Managing director Alan Rendle-Eames said: “Our highly experienced and skilled design and machining team are providing complex manufacturing solutions to a growing number of advanced manufacturing partners, and the addition of these new machines will enable us to expand this service even further.”
