Bristol-based MACH Machine Tools (
www.machmt.co.uk) — part of the Vigilance Group — has appointed Mike Corbett as its new CNC divisional manager to help the company achieve its “ambitious growth plans”.
His responsibilities will include planning, co-ordinating and implementing the company’s new-product design and
development strategies, along with new-product launches and product upgrade introductions.
Mr Corbett will initially work with the company’s internationally based machine tool build and control partners, to develop new products and refine existing products (including control technologies and software systems) for the European market.
Matt Andrew, MACH Machine Tools sales director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike on board, as the company is poised for a period of significant growth.
“With Mike’s extensive industry knowledge, technical knowledge and applications experience, I am convinced we will be able to fully exploit the opportunities open to the company.”
In addition to his responsibilities with MACH Machine Tools, Mr Corbett will also take on a technical consultancy role with Machine Tool Sales Online — the Vigilance Group’s ‘used machine tool and ancillary technology division’.
He will provide assistance to “help drive its after-sales and training operations”.
