The Munich-based Hoffmann Group (www.hoffmann-group.com), a leading European tool manufacturer, has established a subsidiary in Birmingham that is scheduled to open in August.

Tim Paddison (pictured) has been appointed as managing director and his main task will be to “align the strengths of the family-owned Hoffmann Group to the needs of the UK market”.

The company supplies tooling, workstations and storage as well as personal protective equipment.

Martin Reichenecker, the board member responsible for sales and marketing, said: “The UK is one of the largest economies in Europe and has been a very important market for us for a long time.

"We believe that we can be even more successful there if we are closer to our customers and the market.

“With the new base in Birmingham, the Hoffmann Group will continue to improve its local service and expand the size of its team, thereby ensuring that UK customers will have more local specialists to contact for support.”

He added: “Due to his extensive experience as a senior manager in sales and operations in the UK’s supply industry, Tim Paddison is ideally qualified to increase our market presence in the UK even further.

“We are very pleased to welcome him on-board, as part of the international Hoffmann family.”
