Lisburn firm invests £11 million in facilityCreative Composites Ltd is investing £11 million in new machinery and the expansion of its facilities to capitalise on growth opportunities for composite components — and 132 new jobs are being created.

The company is the UK’s most-advanced composites manufacturer, supplying a wide range of innovative products for demanding applications (www.creativecomposites.co.uk).

Among the new technology installed is the UK’s largest compression mould press.

Managing director Jonathan Holmes said: “The applications for composites are endless, and we are focused on expanding our business in key sectors, including automotive and rail.

"Invest Northern Ireland’s support was critical to investing in the very best plant and machinery, which we need to achieve our ambitions.

"We are excited about this growth phase in the business, and we are making good progress with recruiting additional staff to support our continued development.”

The company works with customers in a diverse range of industries, including automotive, rail, bus and coach, off-highway and medical.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered £1.5 million towards this capital project (part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme).
