South Yorkshire-based Caledonian Plastics is expanding with the support of a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK.
Established in 1966, the company (
www.caledonian-plastics.co.uk) produces plastic containers and components for commercial and industrial use.
It has upgraded its 20,000ft
2 operations by purchasing a Czech-made blow-moulding machine and an automated packing table, aiming to increase production by 20% and reduce energy consumption.
Managing director John Laing said: “We operate in a highly competitive market, so it is critical that we keep investing in our production facilities.”
Caledonian Plastics currently employs 28 people at its Holbrook factory and counts household names in the automotive, building and leisure sectors among its clients.
