Tamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC —
www.itc-ltd.co.uk) has recruited its eighth apprentice.
However, unlike the previous apprentices, Nico Fuentes is a mature student who has already graduated from Coventry University with a degree in product design.
He has subsequently worked for a local Tier One manufacturer as a machine technician.
ITC’s managing director, Peter Graves, said: “We established our apprenticeship programme over eight years ago, and we are extremely proud of our commitment to developing the next generation of engineers.
"Our apprenticeship scheme has given lots of young learners career opportunities in manufacturing, and it has given ITC a continuous influx of talented young individuals who are keen to progress their careers.
"Most importantly, these young learners bring a fresh approach to our business. With Nico’s background in product design, he will certainly bring new insights to our product development department while learning his trade.”
