Bristol-based MACH Machine Tools is to showcase its latest CNC bed mills and flat-bed lathes with what it describes as the ‘best-in-class’ DynaPath control at
Southern Manufacturing 2020 (Stand J310).
The company is exhibiting two of its latest high-performance toolroom-type machines, a MACH MDM 1000 CNC bed mill and a MACH MDL 1800 CNC flat-bed lathe — both equipped with the new DynaPath WinDelta control.
MACH MT Sales director Matt Andrew said (
www.machmt.co.uk) : “We launched our new range of DynaPath-controlled CNC bed mills in the autumn of last year, and the response has been phenomenal.
"The control is supplied as standard with a range of advanced functions and time-saving features that help manufacturers to reduce set-up and cycle times, eliminate input and programming errors, and improve operational efficiencies.”
The versatile DynaPath touch-screen control has a conversational and ISO/G code programming capability, which enables fast and easy shopfloor use.
Its 8Gb onboard storage facility with 1,000-line ‘look ahead’ capability ensures fast processing speeds and responsiveness.
The key features of the control include: datum setting using alignment; sub-program calling; the use of macro-programming; the ability to facilitate program simulation using tool-path or 3-D rendered graphics; and the provision of programmable spindle control.
Mr Andrew continued: “We are now introducing a range of CNC flat-bed lathes onto the market that are equipped with the same Dynapath control. We expect a similar positive market reaction to these machines.”
The MACH MDM 1000 is the largest bed mill in the range, with X, Y, Z travels of 1,000 x 500 x 610mm, a 1,524 x 330mm work table with 500kg maximum table load and an ISO 40 taper 5hp spindle (speeds up to 5,000rev/min).
The machine is supplied as standard with a 12.1in touch screen, DXF file reader, MPG hand-wheel, air draw bar and coolant equipment, and it is Wi- Fi enabled for immediate on-line support.
Mr Andrew said: “The MDM 1000 is a tough rigidly built machine capable of delivering high-accuracy volumetric removal rates and excellent surface finishes.”
The MACH MDL 1800 is a large-capacity CNC flat-bed lathe with a strong and durable ribbed-bed design, hardened and ground slide ways (X and Z axes) and pre-tensioned (C1 Class) ballscrews that ensure high-speed and high-accuracy machining.
It has a 10/12in chuck and is equipped with a high-performance 7.5kW spindle (speeds up to 2,500rev/min).
With rapid rates of 5m/min (X and Z axes), the MACH MDL 1800 ‘gets down to business fast’, and its size and capacity (450mm swing over bed, 240mm swing over cross slide and 900mm distance between centres) make it suitable for machining a range of small to medium-size components.
Mr Andrew concludes: “
Southern Manufacturing 2020 is a great opportunity to explain (to visitors) the significant performance benefits they can expect to achieve from MACH machines equipped with the DynaPath control.”
