Adi launches new vehicle-charging divisionBirmingham-based Adi Group (www.adiltd.co.uk) has set up a new division to capitalise on the rapidly developing market for electric vehicles (EVs).

Adi Vehicle Charging Solutions (VCS) has ambitions to become one of the largest EV infrastructure specialists in the UK.

VCS director Kenneth Green said: “We have already made huge inroads by signing up some of the biggest charging-point manufacturers in Europe.

“Couple this with the fact that most car manufacturers have fully committed to manufacturing hybrid or electric models in the near future, and you have the foundations for a solid growth plan.

“We are also seeing more and more councils, businesses and land developers calling for electric-vehicle charging points, as thousands of motorists up and down the country choose to opt for plug-in vehicles.”

VCS has formed a number of strategic alliances; these include Franklin Energy, a leading charging-point operator, which aims to have over 3,000 charging points by the end of 2021.

Having such an alliance means that Adi VCS can work nation-wide, with every car parking space in the country potentially a business opportunity.
