Arburg opens new training centreMachine manufacturer Arburg (www.arburg.com) officially opened a new training centre earlier this month at its headquarters in Lossburg, Germany.

The new 13,700m2 building will allow customers to benefit from training on the company’s latest machinery and digital technologies.

It features a large machine hall with space for 15 electric, hybrid, hydraulic and vertical injection moulding machines of various sizes.

The machines chosen represent a cross-section of all the sizes and drive versions available in Arburg’s product range.

Each injection moulding machine is equipped with a robotic system, plus an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) gateway, and is linked to the Arburg ALS host computer system.

There is also an Arburg Plastic Freeforming system available for training in additive manufacturing.

In addition, there are 11 classrooms for theory courses, all of which are equipped with a smart board.

Data can be transferred from the board in each classroom to a smaller board on the respective machine, which enables real-time interaction and co-operation, independent of location or device.
