CastForge postponed until 2022The organiser of CastForge has announced that the international trade fair for castings and forgings with processing, held in Stuttgart will no longer take place as scheduled in 2021. Due to the continued lack of opening prospects for the trade fair industry, the risks relating to an event in June this year are deemed to be no longer acceptable for the majority of paticipants.

The exhibitors at CastForge, around 62% travel to Stuttgart from countries outside of Germany, have jointly agreed with Messe Stuttgart to postpone the trade fair for another year. The next trade fair is therefore due to take place from 21 to 23 June 2022.

Messe Stuttgart says there is still a strong appetite within the industry for this young trade fair, which celebrated an impressive premiere in 2018 and then recorded strong growth among exhibitors. In the latest survey around 80% of the exhibitors due to take part said that they are still planning to attend the trade fair next year.

Gunnar Mey, department director Industrial Trade Fairs at Messe Stuttgart, said: “A physical presence is vital for CastForge. We are therefore continuing the existing concept together with the industry and are taking every step to ensure that the exhibition can be staged safely and successfully in 2022.”

International manufacturers of castings and forgings, as well as highly specialised processors will showcase their companies to industrial purchasers from mechanical engineering and plant construction, drive engineering, the pump and hydraulics industry, and utility vehicles construction.
