CamdenBoss, a manufacturer of high-quality plastic enclosures and electro-mechanical components, has announced that it is moving into its new 10,700m
2 Galaxy Building on 1 June. The relocation marks a significant expansion of the business as it combines its existing Mildenhall and Thetford operations into the single new facility.
It will incorporate design, warehouse, manufacturing operations along with sales and administration to meet the specific requirements of its customers across electro-mechanical components and both injection moulded and flat sheet plastic enclosures.
James Buckle, owner of CamdenBoss parent company Heathpatch Ltd, said: “The investment in this impressive building is a very important and exciting development for Heathpatch and CamdenBoss, which clearly demonstrates our continued long-term commitment and investment in UK manufacturing and the local area.”
The new site will house a significantly increased assembly space, optimised machining areas to house 11 CNC machines, an environmentally controlled digital print facility, medical and ESD clean rooms, the company’s enhanced warehouse and distribution facility, a modern office space and grounds with a focus on employee wellbeing, while also including design features to help achieve the company’s environmental and sustainability goals.
The facility will also house Global Recycling Solutions Ltd, a fellow Heathpatch company, which specialises in the sale of recycling, forestry, confi-shred and construction machinery. Global Recycling will use the site as their flagship facility for the newly launched SANY range of construction machinery, housing both sales and maintenance operations.
Katy Davies, CamdenBoss managing director, said: “Having all of our teams co-located in the new facility will give us the ability to further increase capacity, enhance our capabilities and ensure we support our growing customer base for many years to come.
“I am delighted to say that our customers are thriving and this facility is required to maintain increased demand as well as investing in our people, their development and workplace.”
CamdenBoss employs over 100 people across Thetford and Mildenhall and has over 50 years’ experience in design and manufacture, working with customers and distributors alike to develop innovative solutions for their enclosure design requirements, whether injection-moulded or flat sheet plastic fabrication.
