Beaver Bridges acquires Wigan-based fabrication firmShrewsbury-based Beaver Bridges, a specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of bridges, has acquired MG Fabrications Ltd in Wigan as part of a strategic business expansion.

With a 20,000ft2 factory, a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes and a CE Execution Class 4 team of welder fabricators, the acquisition will bring about an immediate increase in the production capacity of Beaver Bridges.

Managing director Henry Beaver said: “This is a very exciting, highly complementary acquisition which will reinforce Beaver Bridges position in the market helping us continue to go from strength-to-strength.”

Furthermore, as part of its expansion plans, the company appointed Gareth Weeks as its new operations director earlier this month. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, expertise to the role.

He said: “Beaver Bridges’ business values, expertise and ambition really excites me. It is a company that clearly knows where it wants to be in the future, and I am now proud to be part of that journey.”
