Photocentric Additive software innovation on show at TCT 3SixtyPeterborough-based Photocentric Ltd, the inventor of LCD 3-D printing, will preview its new Photocentric Additive software at TCT 3Sixty taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 28-30 September, Stand F41. The new sofware package will enable customers to transform their part design and production and providing additional design customisation options.

Created in production with partner and software leader CoreTechnologie, Photocentric Additive is an innovative, powerful and feature-rich additive manufacturing software package, allowing users to upload and apply custom logos, textures — or choose from 5,000 pre-defined textures — and customer-ready finishes at speed.

Photocentric Additive will also orient, add print supports and slice all common CAD formats and STL models with ease.

Impressive functionality
Sally Tipping, Photocentric sales director, said: “We are looking forward to showcasing Photocentric Additive to the industry and demonstrating how its impressive functionality and processing speed can benefit their businesses

“In addition to the thousands of textures immediately available to apply quickly and directly to models, partners will be able to add their own customised finishes, apply a QR code texture or even rid layer lines with smoothing to save on additional finishing costs.

This technology is unrivalled in large format LCD printing, and combined with the speed, scalability and price point of our technology, it makes for a terrific package. Many of our partners are very excited to see what it can do, and we are equally as excited to see the amazing things they can achieve with it.”

Armin Brüning, CoreTechnologie CEO, said: “We are very proud to be the chosen software partner of Photocentric. When developing our software, the target is always to enable perfect usability and seamless workflows. We are sure that Photocentric Additive and especially its advanced design capabilities to create surface textures and lattice structures are adding an outstanding value for Photocentric customers.”

The software is ideal for use in a wide variety of applications, including automotive interiors and parts, sports goods, eyewear, footwear, consumer goods and more. Photocentric Additive supports lattice structures and creates new possibilities for the design community with a host of customisation options. A newly designed module – developed specifically for Photocentric with the SLA process in mind – creates support structures which enables a high level of automation.

Photocentric Additive supports the Photocentric LC Magna – a proven 3-D printer delivering speed, volume and cost savings to businesses around the world – which will also be on show at TCT 3Sixty. Details on the price and availability of the licence based software will be available at the show.
