Fife Fabrications to celebrates 50th anniversary in 2022Scotland-based wFife Fabrications Ltd (Fifab), a leading precision sheet metal work manufacturer, is set to celebrate its 50th year in business at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics show in Farnborough next year.

The company manufactures precision sheet metalwork, electromechanical assemblies, and precision machined components, offering a complete service from design for manufacture support, to manufacturing and full customer delivery.

Working to deliver dedicated sector expertise, high quality products and first-class service for every customer, Fife Fabrications provides an approach to building relationships that generates trust, customer service excellence and a seamless and integrated offering for its customers around the UK. Testament to this are the long-lasting customer relationships, some of which have lasted over 30 years.

Based in Glenrothes in Fife, the company continually invests in lean manufacturing, people and processes which makes it one of the UK’s most cost-effective suppliers of precision metal work.

Like most businesses, having recently undergone a challenging period during the Covid-19 pandemic, the company responded swiftly to ensure a strong business recovery plan with a range of security and safety measures. This included the introduction of shift work, home working and factory process modifications, to ensure the business was able to both service its customers and safeguard its staff, while ensuring it creates a positive position from which the business can continue to flourish in the years to come.

John Penman, Fife Fabrications’ managing director, said: “We are delighted to have stayed in business for 50 years and to have used that time to develop local talent, regularly engage with our community and build long-lasting relationships with our customers across the UK.

“Fife Fabrications has always been focused on continual investment in technology, people and processes. Our aim is to further build our capabilities and expertise to continue to provide customer service which is a cut above. I would like to thank our loyal customers, our team, and our suppliers for supporting Fifab to get to this milestone.

“We will continue to invest in our growth, our equipment, our people and in young talent to support the upskilling of the next generation. Not only does this ensure we can create opportunities for our workforce and develop a fantastic team, but it also allows us to build a pipeline of skilled and talented experts who will deliver for our customers for the next fifty years.”
